an elegant Christmas dinner

This elegant Christmas dinner  features a neutral palette
of golds, silvers, and creams and emphasizing texture.

Southern Living Style
for your Christmas table.

The menu card features a silver emblem reminiscent
of a pineapple, a symbol of Southern hospitality.

Hand-crafted place mats made with inexpensive wallpaper,
are paired with gold-edged china and simple flatware.

An antique mirror maximizes the light cast
from votives nestled in birch candle holders.

A hollowed-out log is filled with roses, hydrangeas,
and Leyland cyprus for a luxurious yet earthy look.

The informal hutch is decked with vintage pieces such
as the glass-bead wreath, reindeer figurine,
and mercury-glass candlesticks.

The lustrous mother-of-pearl napkin rings
(made from taffeta ribbon looped through vintage belt buckles) .

Repurposed drawer knobs make eye-catching place card holders.

Spicy after-dinner eggnog garnished with
whipped cream, cinnamon, & nutmeg
are served with cookies on a silver tray.
